Yes, very rarely seen. Must be living in a desert to have survived that long without being extensively renovated.
Fancier ones had petrol injection (no, they didn't call it fuel injection) with a PI badge so people could tell you could afford it. Same with the overdrive.

2 liter version of the engine in my car and a few other parts, but yeah, not seen often.
Mine has a PCV valve (center) and water circulation through the manifold (to warm up intake temps quicker) early emissions efforts, but otherwise pretty much the same except a longer stroke.
Many other “Triumphy” things in there, same hood release mechanism for instance, British were quite efficient as the produced cars by the thousands...

I’ve never seen one of this vintage. Did some quick research and was confused on mirror placement. Seems like the were several different locations, see photos:

On door
